You…have seen the crisis in my soul. (Psalm 31:7 LB)
I was reminded today that many people believe GOD exists, but their understanding of who GOD is, can be varied.
Even myself, who has believed in GOD, since I was a child, has to review what is true and what I believe about GOD. And not only what I believe, but also what I will receive from GOD.
Will I actively trust His all-knowing love? Will I cling to His ever-present gift of forgiveness? Will I rely on His all-encompassing power to carry me through life’s ups and downs?
As I contemplated, pasted and colored today’s collage, I wasn’t pleased with some of the results. I had to push past those moments.
Sometimes it is difficult to capture the extraordinary. More often than not, each day does include a few extra, ordinary moments to believe, even when a crisis consumes our souls.
Joy is a choice. Just Opening to Yahweh! Receiving love, basking in forgiveness, resting in hope.
I think Brother Lawrence would have agreed, sometimes we must choose to believe GOD is present, even when everything arounds us distracts and distorts this TRUTH.
“That, without being discouraged on account of our sins, we should pray for His grace with a perfect confidence, as relying upon the infinite merits of our LORD.” (Brother Lawrence)
