God is good to one and all; everything he does is suffused with grace. (Psalm 145:9 The Message)
Join us today, as my friend Jeanie shares on the topic of “His Grace Covers Me.” I appreciate Jeanie’s vulnerability and honesty as she experiences God’s grace in her every day life.
I could share a lot of times that I have blown it, but the one that gets me every time would have to be Thanksgiving 2011. We had made our way down to my mom’s on Tuesday that week to spend the holiday with her. We went to Springfield and had an enjoyable day there looking and shopping not realizing the car was on the verge of breaking down. All seemed well when driving back to St. Louis on Thanksgiving day and it seemed like the battery was giving us fits. We had actually made it to Fort Leonard Wood where there was a Walmart open for the holidays. This time I was happy to see a store open with a garage. Then we were on our way and thinking we would make it home in time, our car clunked out on us at Union Missouri. I was hyperventilating, cursing out the car and everything in ear shot. It was not a relaxing day. Also we forgot to put our cell phone charger in so it was difficult to call someone to help us.
