Where: At or In What Place

But the LORD God called to the man,

“Where are you?”

(Genesis 3:9 NIV)

YOU ARE HERE

YOU EXIST

YOU ARE HERE

YOU HAVE VALUE

YOU ARE SACRED AND DISTINCT

YOU ARE HERE

AT THIS TIME

IN THIS PLACE

FOR THIS REASON

The voice of love is calling out: “Where are you?”

I believe that the Creator is asking each individual this question everyday. It may even be a question you ask yourself: Where am I? How did I get here? Do I want to be here? Where do I want to be?

Where is a question of proximity . . . nearness. Are you close to where you were created to be? Are you near to the Creator?

YOU ARE HERE.

Is that answer enough? I think so.

YOU, exist as an individual, a distinct entity. YOU ARE part of a whole. It’s not “You is here,” but “You are here.” YOU, the plural. YOU, the collective, the communal that exists in community. YOU ARE HERE. HERE, where every other human being exists, part of the whole human experience.

The dictionary says that the universe is “a systematic whole held to arise by and persist through the direct intervention of divine power.”

YOU ARE HERE.

And the same one who asks “Where are you?”

Also knows that YOU ARE HERE.

And He likes it that way.

Where are YOU?

Creator, place, universe, where, YOU ARE HERE

Kel, I knew you were thinking about you are here, but not connecting your idea w/ "Where are you?" So funny you should mention that b/c I had just used it as a journaling prompt for a women's group! I love answering the questions of Scripture in my journal. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED your class today. You are a natural facilitator, and made me feel right at ease, despite that I barely got started. But that is just I. I am a very slow processer, and when art is most therapeutic for me, I"m doing it slowly anyway, praying as I go and letting God speak to me. That said, classtime is of necessity limited, and you chose the perfect am't of time and the perfect venue. I say for all St. Louisans reading, that they SHOULD TAKE THIS CLASS! Where am I……..on the verge of new beginnings…..and also quite literally needing to "take tea"! My kettle is whstling! Love you so much.lynni

Thanks Lynni! It was a joy to witness you and the other participants as you each engaged with your created selves and the Creator of the Universe! I hope you had a lovely tea time…I went directly to a women's conference after I posted this…so here I am finally getting back to you. I look forward to see the unveiling of more layers as we continue to answer the call of "Where are you?" and embracing our "here-ness" See you next week!

Thank you so much Kel for your talent, joie de vivre, and love for the Creator of yoru soul (and mine :-). Oh, I just thought……It's in our here-ness that we feel and epxerience HIs near-ness. Love that. Tea was lovely, and amazingly, I'm going to make a up right now. I seem to keep writing here at late-afternoon. In England, though, I drank tea constantly. I hope you had a truly wonderful women's conference.See you next week!Loveme
