Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.

Good word, Kel!

Kel, I hadn't read The Message for this passage. Wow…"Learn the unforced rhythms of grace"… I've been meditating on that line since I read your post earlier. This is deep! Thank you, Kel! What a way to start my day!

The flesh gets weary, but it all starts in the soul. Spending time with our Father is a supernatural healing for our souls. Great thoughts to start the day.

Ennui can also mean a feeling of disappointment or boredom. My friend Lynni mentioned it in her comment yesterday, so I had to use it in a post 🙂 And the word of the Lord is always so good, right?

Diane- The Message translation for this passage always gives deep expression to the way I feel when weary and the relief of Jesus invitation to that exact idea the "unforced rhythms of grace." Thanks for sharing the joy of discovering His depths with me.

Floyd- Yes soul time with the Father is what brings me out of that feeling of weariness…His love lifts me up and heals the hurting souls. Amen!

Kel, I love these verses in the Message translation. These verses form a foundation for my Rad Sabb to "come unto Him." I'll tell you more later. Don't you love it when you learn a new word? You're like me: You use it immediately! =]L.

Thanks Lynni for the word! And I look forward to hearing more about His invitation to REST and spend time in His presence alone.
